Joan (Keegan) Devine, D.O.

Dr. Joan Devine earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. She is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Before completing her ob/gyn residency at Lankenau Medical Center, Dr. Devine completed a medical internship at Frankford Hospital, Aria Health, in Philadelphia. She held research positions in molecular biology at Columbia University, New York, NY, and Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA. Dr. Devine co-authored a number of publications in peer-reviewed journals and co-presented a poster at the Society for Obstetrics Anesthesia and Perinatology Meeting in 2010. Her research interests include molecular biology, contraception, cardiac and placental complications in pregnancy, and addiction in pregnancy. Dr. Devine practices both low- and high-risk obstetrics as well as gynecology. Her patient approach includes listening and understanding her patient’s overall wellness, health issues and life stressors. Her interests include medical processes during pregnancy and preventive care. Dr. Devine offers office procedures such as IUD placement, hysteroscopy, bladder testing and ultrasound. She also has a strong interest in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery including robotic surgery.
